As if rising temperatures and radiation weren't enough.

According to a study found in Ices Journal of Marine Science (http://icesjms.oxfordjournals.org/content/68/6/1019.abstract), the increased emissions from fossil fuels are increasing CO2 levels in the atmosphere, as well as the ocean. The effect of this is the gradual acidification of the Earth's oceans as a whole.

Global surface pH has already decreased by more than 0.1 units since preindustrial times and might decrease by 0.10–0.35 additional units by 2100

Odds are, the coral reefs are doomed. It's up to us to preserve what we can! :zoid:
