75 Gal Saltwater Reef Setup

So a few months ago, I started up a 29 gal reef tank. Well it didn't take long before I realized that I was gonna want a larger tank. So, I found a 75 Gal Tank with Stand, Canopy, quite a few accessories... and best of all, it already had the LED light system installed. I Found out later that "Ludnix" had Built the led setup just a few months earlier. (Small World huh!).

I converted a 30gal acrylic fish tank that Biocube14 found for me into a sump. I then added a Vertex 100 Skimmer.

Started to add some live rock. Since I took everything out of the 29 gal tank that was already cycled, this tank took off fast. Then I added another 25lbs or so of live rock I purchased from a former Reefer... (Thanks David!!)

This is about 6 weeks into it. I have started adding corals from my 54 Bow Front tank, as well as some frags I got from Biocube14 and GMAN.

Sump with live rock, sand, and some cheato.. along with a couple of hermit crabs and snails.

Any close ups of the corals? Its looking great and im glad to see that light getting some use.

Your new tank looks awesome so far; I really love setting up a new system. You are pretty lucky that you can have a tank at your office. Looks like you got some good deals on equipment, rock etc....Our hobby can be taxing to the wallet at times...I always try to save where I can. Looks awesome...Great Job!

Most of these frags are out of my 54gal. I did get a few new ones from GMan, biocube14 and the latest (2/3/2012) was a Plum Crazy Frag from Fin and Feathers front display tank.

I was told that this was the Bottle Brush... It was really green in my 54gal. It definitely took on a new color in the 75gal.

I don't think this is one of mine....It looks really cool. Do you think it is ORA Borealis....? I think I gave you a very small frag of my pulchra...could it be this one..?

I dont think its pulchra.. Biocube must have given it to me. When I got it though, it was a soft velvet green color. Started to get a little purple color in the 54, definitely took off in the 75. Its amazing how different tanks and lighting change the color and growth of some corals.
