Blood Shrimps have a bold red color with white spots and white legs. They are very docile and do not move very much during the day time while the lights are on. At night they will scavenge the tank for food under the cover of darkness. Their bright color cannot always be enjoyed due to their tendency to hide in some of the more reclusive spots of an aquarium's rock work, but they are not easily frightened.
Diet:
Blood Shrimp will consume any available foods and are not picky eaters. They do not require direct feeding if in a tank with other fish. They are very quick to chase down any free floating food they see and will scramble to pick up as much of it as they can.
Temperament:
Blood Shrimp are very passive and will appear to be in a world of their own with no concern to other inhabitants of the tank. They make excellent additions to a reef aquarium and can be mixed with other species of shrimp.
